BBK trails offers guided horseback riding on trails traversing 2 farms situated on the lip of the eastern escarpment of the Mpumalanga Highlands.
The half day trails form part of our speciality trails which enable our guests to really appreciate the beauty of the natural surroundings. 4 hours are spent on the trail with a break for a light brunch and refreshments provided by us. The break is taken at an old kraal on one of the highest points in the area.

As with all the longer trails, a minimum age of 12 years applies.
All trails are guided. Groups are kept to a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 riders to ensure extra personal attention. Trident trail ranger saddles are used to make the ride so much more comfortable. All riding experiences are accommodated. Minimum age for the short trails (30 min - 12 hrs) is 8 years.
In addition to our half day trails, we offer a variety of speciality Trails and Activities, all of which need to be booked at least 2 days in advance with the exception of the 1 day and 2 day trails, which require at least one week's advance booking.
Champagne Breakfast - R 250 per person. Allow our horses to take you to a bubbling stream, nestled at the foot of a large hill, where a scrumptious breakast is served with champagne and orange juice. No under 18's.
Sundowner - R 150 per person. Unwind at the top of the mountain as you watch a spectacular sunset with a drink in your hand. No under 18's.
Full day - R 550 per person. 8 hours are spent on the trail enjoying the magnificent views of the area. A sumptuous lunch is served next to the Elands river. Cost includes meals and refreshments.
2 day trail - R 1300 per person. Following a Friday night Braai and camp out, Saturday morning begins with an early breakfast and an 8 hour ride (with breaks) enjoying the views that abound in Waterval Boven. Following an overnight rest and an early Sunday breakfast, we are back on our way for another 4 hour trail ending with a light lunch. Cost includes accommodation, meals and refreshments.
