Bermanzi

The property can be explored via stunning hiking trails varying in length from 4 to 12km, which meander amongst an indigenous forest and amazing rock pools. The trails are rich in cultural and historical sites, including genuine Bushman paintings, Pedi and Swazi Kraals and sites from the Anglo Boer War. A recent addition is the 2 day Oom Paul's hiking trail,  which was established in conjunction with the neighbouring Five Assegais Lodge. If you're lucky, you may be able to spot bushbuck or kudu enjoying the shade of the indigenous forest, while the rock pools are always a favourite swimming spot on hot summer days.

The luxury lodge at Bermanzi is a three level, self catering unit that can host 10 people in three bedrooms. It offers splendid views of the Komati River Valley and surrounding areas and is fully equipped with all amenities required for comfortable self-catering. There is a "Cave Room" downstairs which serves as an entertainment/ braai area or extra accommodation.

Bermanzi's two thatched roof chalets are called Vakashani and Pumulani and together can host up to 35 people. They are well equipped with basic amenities for self catering and are ideally suited for holiday makers and hikers.

For more self sufficient hikers, Bermanzi's Hikers' Stable provides backpacker accommodation for up to 40 people. It consists of basic self catering facilities, bunk beds and a loft with views over the escarpment.
