Five Assegais Hiker's Camp
God's Window Hikers Lodge forms part of the Five Assegais estate at the very top of the Mpumalanga escarpment between Machadodorp and Badplaas. It is about two and a half hours from Johannesburg at the heart of South Africa's prime trout fishing area and is about half way between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. We are only 300 km from Maputo, and ideally situated for those wishing to explore the surrounding areas, including Waterval Boven, Pilgrim's Rest, Lydenburg, the Sudwala Caves, Dullstroom, Belfast, and Swaziland

From O.R. Tambo Airport/ Johannesburg, take the N12 to Witbank/ Emalahleni, which joins the N4 highway. Follow this N4 until you go past the town of Belfast and the first turnoff on your right into Machadodorp. Turn into the second turnoff into Machadodorp on your right side. Continue into town, over the river, until you get to a 4-way stop at the FNB. Turn left onto the R541 to Badplaas and follow this road for about 17.5 km before taking the Bloemfontein turn-off to the right, which becomes a dirt road. Carry on straight for about 2 km to a T-junction where you turn left and follow the road through one farm gate to the Five Assegais estate. After about 3 km, at the "HOUSE" sign, turn right and follow the road.
