The Shamrock Arms Guest Lodge


The Shamrock Arms is located in Waterval Boven in Mpumalanga, about two and a half hours from Johannesburg. There are several attractions around the lodge such as the Elands River Falls, the Five Arch Bridge and Anglo Boer war sites.

Getting there

From OR Tambo International Airport (the former Johannesburg International Airport), take the R21 highway towards Boksburg then take a left turn towards Witbank/ Emalahleni on the N12. At Witbank/ Emalahleni the N12 and the N4 to Nelpruit merge. Drive along the N4. Take the Waterval Boven turn-off to the right about five km after the Machado Toll Plaza.

Carry on for 2.5 km through the centre of the Waterval Boven until you see the Shamrock Arms sign on the right.

If you are coming from Pretoria, take the N4 to Nelspruit and then follow the directions above.
