Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Although Tranquilitas is located on a naturally beautiful site, many of the seemingly beautiful trees are invasive aliens, such as the ubiquitous wattle trees. The management at Tranquilitas is committed to "recycling" all invasive vegetation into building / fire making material and replacing them with local, indigenous trees.
In addition, a long forgotten dam on the property was recently reclaimed from a variey of alien vegitation resulting in a large body of water with an island in the middle - an ideal place for migrating birds.
