Troutways Retreat

Troutways' appeal lies not only in the ease of access to a broad range of outdoor activities, but as an escape to a retreat- like environment where families can enjoy being together in a very relaxing atmosphere.

It is conveniently located halfway between Gauteng and the Kruger national park, and consists of 3 self-contained private lodges: The original Homestead Lodge, and the more recently completed Rainbow & Kingfisher Lodges. All lodges are rented out as single units, ensuring privacy to our guests, and are fully serviced with a modest fee paid directly to the service ladies.

As far as the outdoors are concerned, we are well located for our guests to take advantage of a range of activities. For the avid fly fishermen, our 5 trout dams are kept well stocked all year round ensuring enough water frontage for private fishing. In addition, a broad range of activities from bird-watching to world class mountain climbing, hiking to mountain biking can be practised.

In terms of outdoor activities, our guests are spoilt for choice.  Fly fishing, mountain biking, bird watching, hiking, trail running, mountain climbing and horse riding are all practised either in close proximity or on our premises.  

Cancellations made 0-7 days prior to arrival forfeit 100% of the deposit.  

Cancellations made 7-14 days prior to arrival forfeit 75% of deposit. 

Cancellations made 14-21+ days prior to arrival forfeit 50% of deposit.

Credit card details are required to confirm a booking.  However, only cash can be used to settle the balance at the end of your stay.
